100 Village Initiative
As a non-profit in the United States working with youth in the Juvenile Justice system, we received a great deal of inspiration from amazing social entrepreneurs and youth-led non profits in Sri Lanka. In fact our organization had some of our initial training and experiences in Sri Lanka starting back in 2014. We had the privilege of working at youth leadership camps and regional conferences in Sri Lanka that gave us an opportunity to pilot some of our initiatives we conduct with youth here in the Juvenile justice system in South Carolina.
Today we are eager to support an initiative that engages impoverished communities in 100 villages across the island nation. Following the worst economic crisis generating national poverty and malnourishment of children, the cost of living has been rising at an alarming rate. We are partnering with the Centenary Movement as they strive to lead a transformative sustainable impact in these villages.
